Despite Britney Spears objections, Lifetime has been producing a movie about her life so far. The movie, titled “Britney Ever After,” focuses on how she came to be a pop star, her struggles in life and how she overcame those struggles to once again regain a place in the pop world.
The made for television movie stars Natasha Bassett as Britney, Clayton Chitty as Kevin Federline, Nicole Oliver as Lynne Spears, Matthew Harrison as Jaime Spears and Josie Bulbrook as Jamie Lynn Spears.
While the movie has been in the works for over a year, the first trailers are beginning to leak, which may leave you wondering what to expect from the show. Keep in mind that this is a Lifetime movie. As such, the show will likely emphasize the dramatic points in her life. The acting is also in line with soap operas or dramas. The show is meant to draw in viewers and engage them for some time. Lastly, you need to keep in mind that this is not an authorized biopic. This means that Ms. Spears and people close to her did not contribute to or help in this film. While parts of the story are pulled from documented events, such as her reality shows and incidents caught by paparazzi, others are gossip that has been reported by magazines.
If you are looking to be entertained and to learn more about Britney’s life, tune in to Britney Ever After. However, take what you see as a movie or story, not necessarily the truth. The movie premieres on Saturday, February 18, at 8 p.m. Eastern time. Expect it to replay several more times in the weeks that follow.
