Logan is a movie in the Marvel X-Men series of movies. If you have read the comics, you already have a good idea as what this movie is about. It follows them and stays pretty true to them. But if you don’t, let’s get you up to speed.
Logan is Wolverine, just in his human form, when he doesn’t have his claws out and when he isn’t on the war path and demolishing every person and building in his path. The movie starts out with Logan in human form, 15 years in the future, trying to lay low and live a normal life. He is still recovering from the events that happened at the end of the last X-Men movie. However, it isn’t long before he is shot by some outlaws and he transforms into the Wolverine we all know and love.
This is Hugh Jackman’s last time playing the Wolverine character, and this movie does not disappoint. The action sequences are flawless and amazing. And instead of the movie having a superhero or comic book look and feel to it, it feels more in line with blockbuster action and drama movies, like the Bourne movies or Mad Max style films.
If you have not followed the X-Men movies, you may find this movie a bit difficult to follow. Obviously there are references to past films all throughout the movie. However, you can still follow the basic story line and enjoy it. And if you have followed the movies, you will have no problem jumping right into this movie and watching along.
Logan is a great movie that has a very adult feel to it. If you are looking for a sophisticated or grown-up version of a comic book, this is the movie for you.
