Source: Funny Women

This week kicked off Season 12 of the NBC hit show “The Voice.” This season coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Alicia Keyes and Gwen Stefani are vying to take their team all the win and be crowned the winner. However, the show is not all about the coaches. It is about the singers as well.

While we are only two nights into the singing competition, there are a few singers who have caught the attention of the coaches and America. While it is too early to tell if they will really be contenders, there are a few people who have emerged as early front runners. Here is some information on these singers.

Lauren Dunski sang Jewel’s hit song, “You Were Meant for Me” and instantly won her way into the hearts of the judges and America. She turned three judges chairs, with Ms. Keyes being the only hold out. However, as is true with most country singers, she ended up on Team Blake.

JChosen sang Marvin Gaye’s song “Sexual Healing.” And his rendition made all four judges swoon. After a long and hard fought battle, he ended up on Team Gwen. His tone and the way he connects with songs makes him one to keep an eye on.

Lilli Passero

Lilli sang a lesser-known, vintage-sounding song called “A Love of My Own” by Carla Davis. This sultry singer had everyone but Adam fighting for her. Alicia Keyes was so enthralled that she even sung her pleas to get the singer on her team. And it worked, as Ms. Passero agreed to join team Alicia.

There are still several more nights of chair turning fun to fill out the teams, and new front runners may emerge, but after the first week, these are just a few to watch progress through the competition.
